Madrid isn’t overcrowded or overly touristic like its European counterparts. This charming city always feels authentic, whether you’re eating chocolate and churros or exploring one of the many city parks. The public transport is excellent and with every day you stay there’s a new place to discover.
This is one of the few capital cities where life moves slowly. There’s no rush here, just an authentic Spanish vibe that will quickly make you feel at home. Spend some time in Madrid and you soon discover your own little favourites; bars, restaurants, plazas, streets, and places where you can really practice your Spanish.
The highlights are many. Tour luxurious old palaces. Wander colourful neighbourhoods. Visit the famous trio of art museums. Take time out in the parks. And take easy day trips to old cities nearby, such as Avila, Toledo and Alcala de Henares.
There’s a two-fold beauty to staying in Madrid. After 24 hours you will feel comfortable and at home in your surroundings. But even after four weeks there will still be new experiences to find.

It’s situated in the very centre of Madrid close to the famous Puerta del Sol, a vibrant part of the city with its' bars, shops and restaurants. The area is a perfect base from where you can explore by foot or using the reliable and extensive transport system.

During breaks you’ll continue to converse in Spanish, either in the school or in the surrounding area, so it feels like you’re learning for far longer than the number of course hours; this makes for quick improvements.
By bringing together students of different nationalities and ages, Linguaschools Madrid creates a welcoming and interesting learning environment. Group courses start every Monday and you can study 20, 25 or 30 lessons per week.
As with all Linguaschools, our Madrid school offers custom-made programs for students wanting to learn Spanish, with both group lessons and individual lessons available. While 20 or 25 lessons in a group per week are the most popular there are few restrictions on how much you want to study.
Please note that the school is closed on bank holidays. Half of the group lessons missed due to a bank holiday are made up for.
A wide variety of comfortable accommodation means every student can feel at home in Madrid. Staying with a host family offers a great local experience while the shared apartments place you with other Spanish speakers or students. For both options we have standard accommodation and a standard ‘plus’ option, which provides either a little more space and/or a more central location.

Madrid is one of the world’s great cultural hubs and the school arranges lots of activities based on what is going on locally. So you learn Spanish during the day then feel like a local during the evenings. Weekday activities are complemented by your own adventures, while weekend trips take you to beautiful destinations like Segovia and Toledo.
